BRIAN LITTRELL: Discusses Having H1N1 Flu

Atlanta-based Backstreet Boy member Brian Littrell called into Q100’s The Bert Show Tuesday to discuss being diagnosed Sunday with the H1N1 virus.

The
singer said on-air he fell ill on a trip back from Tokyo where the
group was shooting a video for the new Backstreet Boys album, “This is
Us.’

“I
fee like I’ve been hit by a truck,” Littrell said. The singer explained
he was being quarantined in a New York hotel room away from the rest of
his bandmates.

“My business, unfortunately, doesn’t really allow for sick days,” he said.

As
part of the marketing campaign to launch “This is Us,” in stores today,
the Backstreet Boys were due to fly to Los Angeles Tuesday to tape
appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Littrell said he was awaiting word from a doctor Tuesday on when he might be able to return to work.
